Kilifi county is endowed with many tourism attraction sites. The county boasts some of the best white sandy beaches, popular resorts and villas along the Kenyan coast line. It has tourist beaches in Kikambala, Watamu, Malindi and Kilifi and Mtwapa which occupy 109Km2 of the total County surface area. Other important attractions are historical sites in Gede, Malindi, Takaungu, Mnarani and Rabai.

Other tourist sites include Kaya forests, Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve, Marafa Hell kitchen, Bore Valley, Mekatilili Wa Meza, Kapangani Rock, Sabaki Estuary in Magarini and mangrove swamps. mapKilifi is the playground for water sports including sport fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, water skiing and diving. Marine research especially for rare breeding grounds of special fish like Tewa and turtles is conducted in protected areas of Malindi Marine National Park, Watamu Marine National Reserve and Kuruwitu Marine area which are also major tourist attractions. The Vipingo Ridge golf course, Malindi International Airport and Kijipwa airstrip which are key components of the tourism sub-sector



Agriculture is another major source of livelihood and employment. The main food crops in Kilifi County grown are maize, cowpeas, green grams and cassava, while cash crops include coconut, cashew nuts, pineapples, sisal, and mangoes. Livestock farming is also an important economic providing income and food especially in the hinterlands of Ganze, Langobaya and Magarini.
